Introducing the SatisWise Award

Now that 2009 is rapidly coming to a close, it is a natural time for business leaders to look back and reflect on the past business year. For many companies, 2009 was a challenging year. The global economy, although showing some signs of life, is still soft in many areas. Some economists say that it may be another year before we see major improvements. Given this, what should companies plan for in 2010?

We have all heard of the phrase "putting the customer first." This basic principle is taught in most "Marketing 101" classes. Companies that factor their customers' needs and desires in all of their business decisions are far more likely to be successful. Those that do not follow this principle are simply "flying blind." So why do so many companies not follow this simple obvious principle that is based on common sense?

That is the $64,000 (or in some cases billion dollar) question. TechWise Research has conducted many studies in this area. Companies that get high ratings in customer satisfaction, loyalty, and/or Net Promoter Scores all share one trait in common. They understand their customers' needs and they base their business decisions on how they can best address these needs. TechWise cannot share the results of these studies because they contain client confidential information. In addition to researching the market, TechWise is also a consumer of many products and services. One of the primary focuses of this blog will be to share our experiences from the customers' perspective.

Companies that win this award not only understand this principle, they live it every day in their attitude and interactions with their customers.

As we begin to recognize companies in future postings, it is our hope that their stories will inspire other companies to increase their commitment to putting the customer first. In the future we will post a listing of all winners with links back to their websites, in case their services would be of benefit to you.
